Domains of Fitness

Within CrossFit methodology there are 10 recognized domains of fitness. A higher level of fitness is reflected by having proficiency in each of these domains, and not merely practicing a few at the cost of sacrificing others. Our goal, therefore, is to be the best at being a generalist. These domains are:

  • Cardiovascular/Respiratory Endurance

Goal Setting

A goal is a dream with a deadline, and we encourage our members to dream big. Let us help you come up with a plan to achieve that dream. Whether that be accessory workouts, special mobility sessions, nutrition counseling, strategic planning or a good ol' fashioned pep-talk, we're ready to help you take on the loftiest goal you will commit yourself to.


Competition is an integral part of CrossFit methodology, and CrossFit Burlington specifically. We believe that healthy competition, with others but more importantly with oneself, fosters a unique form of motivation that yields very positive results. For some of our members competition means literally registering for an event and performing CrossFit against others for prizes, for many it means trying to beat a buddy through a workout and high-fiving them at the finish, and for all of us it means challenging ourselves to add a few more pounds to a lift, eeking out an extra rep, or shaving off a few seconds from a benchmark workout so you can ring the PR gong at the end of class. All of these forms of competition are completely encouraged and add passion and intensity.


Let our experienced and educated coaches help you find a nutrition plan that works for you. Whether it be the Zone Diet, Paleo, Intermittent Fasting, Lean Gains, Whole 30, ketosis, juice cleanses, calorie cycling, raw foods, vegan or strictly beer and pretzels, we have tried or read about it all. We regularly schedule gym-wide nutrition and lifestyle challenges for all who want to participate. We find that this sort of support and group-effort can produce terrific, sustainable results. We will help you find a healthy nutrition plan that will keep you healthy, enjoying your lifestyle and showing up to workouts properly nourished.
